Cultivating Global Competence
for a Sustainable Future

Faculty who are looking for effective ways to incorporate global learning experiences in their campuses. Administrators who are responsible for ensuring that their students and faculty gain critical skills to constructively contribute to the global society, workplace and exchange of new knowledge. Staff who support faculty and administrators with campus internationalization.

What to expect from this forum: 

  • two workshops packed with insights from scholars and practitioners on strategies for implementing global learning across the campus followed by best practices for infusing the U.N. SDGs into higher education
  • interactive discussions and networking with other internationalization leaders from around the world on how to design optimal global learning opportunities promoting sustainability at any higher education institution
  • personal accounts from students who turned what they learned from global learning classes and activities into impactful sustainability projects.

  • FIU earned the APLU Institutional Gold Award for Global Learning, Research & Engagement in 2019.
