Bio
Beate Brunow received her Ph.D. in German Literature and Culture and a minor in Women's Studies. As a faculty member at Wofford College, SC, she served as Director of New Faculty Teaching Initiatives and the Interim Dean of the Center for Innovation and Learning. In her role as Director of Academic Partnerships and Initiatives at the University of Georgia, she focused on the development of partnerships across the institution with faculty, administrators, academic departments, and administrative units to enhance student learning and success and advocate for seamless integration of curricular and co-curricular learning. Currently, she serves as Associate Director and Associate Research Professor at the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence at Penn State. Her scholarly interests focus on intercultural competence, foreign language pedagogy, and the role of DEIB in teaching and learning.
