Our Footprint

Part of FIU's mission is to focus on collaborative engagement with global communities. That is why our FIU units have worked hard to develop a presence overseas. From this effort emerged important international initiatives, such as FIU in Genoa and FIU in Tianjin, global locations offering various degrees and programs in partnership with foreign cities and institutions. 

Related to this and in order for us to better understand and keep track of FIU’s breadth and depth of global engagement across all units, FIU Global in partnership with the Division of IT has created a new dashboard called “Global Footprint.” This dashboard helps with data visualization and is currently only available for FIU employees with valid credentials and access. It offers snapshots by country, country briefings, and subjects such as international agreements, enrollment, education abroad, and COIL and is intended to help promote international endeavors and identify new and shared opportunities. The Global Footprint tool can be accessed with FIU credentials via https://go.fiu.edu/globalfootprint. If unable to successfully access it, permission can be requested in https://my.fiu.edu/ under “Employee” by selecting the tile “Access request” and then “Business Intelligence.” Next, department should be selected by clicking on the magnifying glass (if not preselected) and selecting “Consumer Campus Solutions” and going to the next page by clicking the “Next” button at the end of the page. Last, the request is completed by pressing “Submit.” This initiates a multi-level approval workflow that begins with employee's direct supervisor or HR liaison in corresponding department.
