Bio
Giuliano joined FIU as the Program Manager at the World Center in Genoa in 2024 along with his wife, Rachel Stowe. They are responsible for all operations at the Center, and are located in Genoa full-time. They are dedicated to serving FIU students and faculty during their time in Genoa, and help facilitate and build partnerships there such as with University of Genoa.
Giuliano has been in education for over 20 years at all levels. He earned his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees from the University of Genoa in 2003, and worked in the department of Earth Sciences for several years thereafter. He then took a year-long sabbatical doing research in France before returning to Italy to teach. He taught middle and high school in Italy, before relocating to the United States and then transitioning to University level teaching at Lipscomb University in Nashville. He specialized in teaching Environmental Science and comparative systems. He also had his first experience in Study Abroad while there when he implemented and ran a program in Florence. In 2019, he returned to Europe where he continued teaching Sustainability and Environmental Management at university level in Lyon, France before returning to Italy to join FIU.
