Biography

Dr. García Lam holds a Doctorate in Modern Languages in French and Spanish from Middlebury College, VT. She is a Teaching Professor of French and the energetic advisor of Le Cercle Français and Pi Delta Phi, two of the most active and awarded student organizations on campus. She is also a commended docent at our Frost Art Museum and the moderator of the French Book Club at Books and Books, where she leads a monthly discussion of Francophone literary works. A believer in classrooms without walls, she has COILed four courses with Université de la Réunion in Reunion Island ("Doing Business Across the Oceans in Times of Pandemic", "Societies, Identities, and Mestizo Cultures", "Professional Internship", "Business Outremer" and one with ESCO-IGES in Burkina Faso ("Transatlantic Mentoring"). Convinced of the fruitful and unique collaboration with international partners, she COILs one of her courses each semester. Dr. García Lam teaches French language, history, civilization, conversation, cinema, and French for business.
