Fundamentals of COIL Design and Facilitation Workshop

The six modules of the FIU Fundamentals of COIL Design and Facilitation Workshop will enable you and your partner(s) to develop a COIL Module Plan to integrate into your course syllabi.

In addition to attending four cohort Zoom meetings, you will complete readings independently and work with your partner to apply your learning to your COIL Module Plan. You and your partner will do your individual and partnered work at times that work best for you. After the workshop is over, you will complete final details and receive ongoing feedback and support from FIU COIL. You will receive a digital certificate of completion (20 hours) for this workshop.

My approach to intercultural communication has been enriched by experiencing the COIL training. My activities planning and organization will spring from student-centered learning objectives and assessments. I am better equipped to design COILs that are small, but focused, and build/strengthen intercultural communication.
