The FIU COIL Call for Participation is open to all faculty teaching FIU courses across the undergraduate and graduate curriculum. This call is open to:

  • New faculty who want to implement COIL for the first time
  • Returning faculty who want to COIL with a new or existing partner

Call for Returning COIL Faculty

Returning COIL faculty should submit their plans to COIL in Fall 2025 through this Call for Participation. Returning faculty plans allow FIU COIL to:

Call for New COIL Faculty

FIU COIL welcomes new faculty who want to implement COIL for the first time during Spring 2026! To respond to the call, please complete the following: 

  1. Video introduction: To facilitate the search for potential partners, prepare a 3- to 5-minute video introducing yourself, why you want to COIL, and a brief description of your proposed COIL topic.  
  2. Written application: Submit through the response form
